November is traditionally an exciting month to catch a new movie in theaters, and 2019 is proving to be no different. From family films releasing in time for the holidays, to a big batch of promising titles hoping to make their mark in time for awards season, November has a lot to offer moviegoers. Here are ten titles that we think you will want to catch this month.
Terminator: Dark Fate

Terminator: Dark Fate ignites a full-throttle adventure, proving a thrilling installment in the Terminator film franchise. Both Arnold Schwarzenegger and Linda Hamilton are back, and Director James Cameron is, once again, at the helm. Picking up 27 years after the conclusion of Terminator 2: Judgment Day, Terminator: Dark Fate offers another harrowing tale of cyborgs against humanity.
Harriet

Tony Award winner Cynthia Erivo stars in this biopic about the courageous slave-turned-abolitionist Harriet Tubman. From her escape as a slave to her leading hundreds of others to freedom via the Underground Railroad, the film ventures to give audiences an intimate understanding of Tubman’s story. Also in the cast are Tony winner Leslie Odom, Jr., Joe Alwyn, Janelle Monae, Jennifer Nettles and Vanessa Bell Calloway.
Arctic Dogs

The computer-animated feature film Arctic Dogs promises to be fun for the whole family, following the story of Arctic Fox (voiced by Jeremy Renner), who works in the mail room for the Arctic Blast Delivery Service. Arctic Fox has bigger ambitions, however, with his heart set on joining the team of husky couriers who take on dangerous missions to make deliveries. Soon, he finds himself confronting an evil genius who is attempting to take over the world.
Doctor Sleep

November also brings us the “King of Horror” Stephen King’s follow-up to his nightmarish tale of a haunted hotel, The Shining. Doctor Sleep finds a grown up Danny Torrance facing to the demons of his childhood. After learning to navigate and then utilize his psychic gifts, he returns to the ruins of the ghost-infested dwelling that terrorized him those many years ago. Ewan McGregor stars.
Last Christmas

Game of Thrones star Emilia Clarke leads this holiday romantic comedy about an unlucky woman named Kate who takes a job as a department store elf. While doing her best to spread yuletide cheer, she meets a handsome young man, and suddenly her fortune begins to change. Is it Christmas magic? Last Christmas also stars Henry Golding, Michelle Yeoh, Emma Thompson and Patti LuPone.
Midway

The harrowing true story of the Battle of Midway is brought to life in Roland Emmerich’s cinematic retelling of the skirmish that was a turning point of World War II. An ensemble cast that includes Ed Skrein, Patrick Wilson, Luke Evans, Aarron Eckhart, Nick Jonas, Mandy Moore, Dennis Quaid and Woody Harrelson assemble for a film that takes us from the tragedy of Pearl Harbor through the titular battle of the Pacific.
Ford v Ferrari

Based on a true story, this drama follows American automaker and former race car driver Carroll Shelby (Matt Damon) and British driver Ken Miles (Christian Bale) in their quest to build a new type of race car for Ford to compete against those of Enzo Ferrari in the 1966 Le Mans World Championship. In addition to the star power in its leading roles, the film is co-written by Tony-winning playwright Jez Butterworth (The Ferryman).
Frozen II

Disney’s animated film Frozen was a crowd-pleaser and an Academy Award-winning critical success. The 2013 animated classic receives a follow-up with Frozen II, returning to the fictional land of Arendelle, where three years have passed since the first story unfolded. When Elsa begins hearing beckoning voices from the North, she, her sister Anna and their posse of snowy friends go on a magical journey to investigate. Academy Award-winning composers Robert Lopez and Kristin Anderson-Lopez return to provide songs for the film’s score.
21 Bridges

If action-thrillers get your blood pumping, you will want to catch 21 Bridges. An NYPD detective finds himself facing the case of his career, tasked with bringing down two cop killers that are on the loose. Twists and turns along the way keep the audience guessing. Brian Kirk directs a cast led by Chadwick Boseman, J.K. Simmons, Sienna Miller, Stephan James, Keith David and Taylor Kitsch.
A Beautiful Day In the Neighborhood

Fred Rogers, the gentle and captivating man who imagined and brought to life the iconic children’s television program Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood, is played by Tom Hanks in this biopic. Journalist Lloyd Vogel is sent by Esquire magazine to write a profile piece on the beloved Rogers, finding his own life changed by the experience. The cast also includes Matthew Rhys, Chris Cooper and Susan Kelechi Watson.
