Let’s take a closer at look at seven of the many awesome experiences you can enjoy this spring at Universal’s Mardi Gras 2019:

The French Quarter Courtyard
Open daily at 4 p.m., Universal Studios’ New York area transforms into New Orleans. Sit down with sizzling Cajun food and enjoy the sounds of sweet Southern music.

Cajun Cuisine
The aforementioned Courtyard features a culinary twist this year. All food and drinks are served in tasting sizes. Enjoy a variety of Cajun and Creole cuisine during your visit. Prepare for the bayou’s best dishes: jambalaya, beignets, crab etouffee, crawfish, and more! Look for the signature Mardi Gras cocktail, plus craft beer and more tasty beverages.

Parade
The nightly parade is back with stilt walkers, dancers and street performers. This year’s theme is Party Animals! The 12 floats are designed around creatures from the jungle, Arctic, swamp, ocean and sky. Confetti will fly as countless strands of beads are tossed into the crowd at this wild and wonderful event.

Just for Kids
Speaking of the parade…. the Little Jester’s Parade Viewing Area located in front of the Brown Derby Hat Shop offers an unobstructed view for the kids. Access is available beginning one hour before the parade starts.

New Orleans Music
With a rich history of soulful performers, New Orleans is often considered to be the birthplace of true American music. Experience the city’s signature sound with performances by real Louisiana jazz, blues and zydeco bands.
