SeaWorld San Diego Unveils New Ocean Explorer Attraction for 2017

TicketsatWork has the inside scoop on the new Ocean Explorer attraction opening at SeaWorld San Diego in 2017.

If you find yourself in the mood for fun in Southern California then by all means a trip to SeaWorld San Diego should be high on the to-do list.

And the famous theme park will soon have a new addition: SeaWorld San Diego has unveiled plans for a major aquarium-based attraction featuring a submarine ride that will navigate across a 3-acre area of the theme park.

Designed like that of global research expedition, the Ocean Explorer ride will offer visitors close-up views of enormous octopuses and spider crabs, along with hundreds of multi-colored jellyfish as they navigate the new SeaWorld attraction via mini subs. Ocean Explorer’s three-minute-long submarine excursion will be one of five planned rides, including a “wave swinger” that is modeled after a similar attraction at Busch Gardens Williamsburg.

Ocean Explorer is on track for a late spring opening next year.

In the meantime, a visit to SeaWorld San Diego remains an excellent trip for the whole family to enjoy.

TicketsatWork.com is currently featuring savings of over 35% on our ‘Single Day +All Day Dine’ tickets.

You can also delight in feeding and touching dolphins, penguins, and sharks. Plus, you can get up-close to those amazing beluga whales.

Go beneath the waves of the Explorer’s Reef – an all-new larger-than-life coral realm where you can touch a shark, a crab, or thousands of tiny cleaner fish that will nibble playfully at your fingers.

For a tranquil experience there’s Turtle Reef, where guests can see dozens of sea turtles swimming in their 280,000-gallon habitat. Get a dose of comedy at the entertaining sea lion and otter show with Clyde and Seamore.
