Here’s a closer look at what you can expect inside ‘Season of the Force’:
- The Star Wars Launch Bay offers opportunities to visit with favorite Star Wars characters, special exhibits, sneak peeks at the upcoming “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” and much more.
- There are four separate themed galleries, covering everything from authentic pieces of Stormtrooper armor and Rebel flight helmets and lightsabers once wielded by Jedi Knights, to models of famous starships from throughout the Star Wars saga and items built exclusively for Star Wars Launch Bay by the same prop makers who worked on the upcoming film, “Star Wars: The Force Awakens.”
- The classic Disneyland ride Space Mountain has been given a “Star Wars-centric” makeover. Guests will launch into a galaxy far, far away aboard Hyperspace Mountain, finding themselves in an action-packed battle between Rebel X-wings and Imperial TIE fighters. The new mission for Hyperspace Mountain is an exploration trip to the planet of Jakku (featured in the new movie). Riders are ordered by classic “Star Wars” character Admiral Ackbar, whose voice you can hear in the back of the coaster car, to explore the presence of an Imperial Star Destroyer outside of planet Jakku.
No doubt you’ll be riding the new Space Mountain more than once!!
- The Galactic Grill features themed food and beverages, serving specialty menu items inspired by both sides of the Force – for breakfast, lunch, dinner… and dessert!
“Star Wars: The Force Awakens” opens in theaters Dec. 18. Get ready for the movie fun with a visit to Disneyland and Season of the Force.
