You could map out quite the cross-country adventure if you traveled from one top-ranked, super fast roller coaster to another.
Even better, TicketsatWork.com features special discount tickets to many of the theme parks where these must-try, top ten fastest roller coasters are located.
Six Flags Great Adventure
Over at Six Flags Great Adventure in Jackson, New Jersey you will encounter Kingda Ka – the tallest and fastest roller coaster in North America.
Gulp!
This upside down U-shaped track bolts up 45 stories in the sky—that’s 456 feet high! This leaves all other coasters in the dust. And of course it’s going to take some mighty acceleration to get you to the top of it.
You’ll leave the station going from 0 to 128 miles per hour in a jaw-dropping 3.5 seconds. You’ll be shooting up that impossible height so fast, you won’t even have time to think, so just hang on. It’s 90° straight up. And once you get to the top you’ll be plummeting right back down in a 270-degree spiral.
Double gulp!
Cedar Point
Heading east to Cedar Point in Sandusky, Ohio there are two top-ranked coasters to meet: Millennium Force and Top Thrill Dragster.
The Top Thrill Dragster equals zero to 120 MPH in less than 4 seconds. A few seconds later, you’re 420 feet in the air. From a standing start you’re launched forward, then straight up, then straight down and back to the finish line.
Millennium Force is the big star of the show: a 310 foot, 93 MPH record-breaking monster. So huge, it created a whole new category – the giga-coaster. The first hill features an elevator cable lift system to get you to the top faster, then it’s an 80-degree drop to start the coaster ride of your life!
Six Flags Over Texas
After that double dose of fun, it’s down the road to Arlington, Texas and Six Flags Over Texas where you’ll meet the minimally, ominously named coaster known as Titan.
This mammoth steel construction is so intense they have to come up with a whole new category for it – the hyper twisted coaster.
Hyper-coasters are the modern breed of oversized roller coaster that is built up to more than 200 feet tall. Well, the Titan easily clears that distinction, with a mind-blowing 255-foot drop.
Six Flags Magic Mountain
Finish your thrill-seeking road trip in Los Angeles, CA at Six Flags Magic Mountain. Here you will find SUPERMAN: Escape from Krypton.
You’ll blast off like Superman, launching straight up the track at 90 degrees, a full 415 feet in the air. Once you’re totally vertical you’ll experience utter weightlessness for 6.5 seconds. You’ll pretty much instantly plummet back down the tower track at a slamming 92 miles per hour.
Visit one, visit them all, but definitely let TicketsatWork.com help make your roller coaster thrill ride adventure even better with a top-ranked discount.
